I started having the following error yesterday, and am unable to create G-Code Files now. Anyone else having this issue?

I would try completely uninstalling Inkscape and doing a fresh install. Anytime I’ve had an issue like that a fresh install usually fixes it.

I have tried that, but get the same result. It is happening on 2 different computers also.

I haven't seen that one.

What version of Inkscape? Go to help->About Inkscape and in the top right corner you'll see something like "Inkscape 0.92.1 r15371"

Is it all SVG files or just one particular SVG file?

When does the error appear?

Dave it is the .92 version. I have been using it for a while. This just started yesterday. I am unable to create g-code files on 2 different computers. Just trying to make a simple square and generate code. I am stumped.

Googling the error message you gave doesn't turn up much, so I'm trying to reproduce the error over here. I need more details. There are several 0.92 releases -- 0.92.1, 0.92.2, etc. I'm using 0.92.1 which is here:

Thanks Dave. It finally started working after the 6th install. Really don’t know what happened. But I do appreciate all your help and willingness to assist.

I am able to create a gcod and it will save it but not in a word document when I click on it it asks me how I want to open it I chose word it will open but not save

Wordpad is a word processor and adds a lot of extra info to files like font, page format, etc. You want to use a text editor, like notepad.

I’m having that same issue with 0.91
