Trying to cut 96” but stops at 55”

Post by cnc164 » Wed Dec 12, 2018 3:21 am

Curious if anyone has ever seen or had an issue cutting a 96” path?

I created a program in Inkscape which loads fine and displays ok. When I set 0 for program at lower left of the 4x8 table and use the move torch to position option, the torch moves exactly as programmed 96” across the length of the sheet. When I run the program using either activate plasma or not feature it stops at 55” and the tablet displays as if it was at the far end of the sheet. The program does however continue on correctly and the positions are ok.

I have reloaded, reset, reloaded and rest again.

Any help is appreciated.

Here is a link to the file, I seem to be unable to attach it.

That's pretty strange. I do 4'x5' regularly but haven't done any 8' cuts yet. The gcode checks out fine in ncviewer. Have you tried reconfiguring the table and reminding it that it's a 4x8 and not a 4x4?

I haven’t, but that’s a good idea! I will do that.
