new purchase

Post by Pat Benes » Mon Nov 18, 2019 7:13 pm

Our company recently purchased a machine from gofabcnc. I've been around cnc equipment for years but haven't been on the programming end. We are trying to download dxf files to inkscape program but when we try to run it we get multiple repeat travels on the cutting. I know this is a simple to use program once you learn it but I am trying to get to that point. Is there anyone I could personally talk to or visit them to get some hands on training. I would even consider paying someone to take my cad drawings & write me some programs & email them to me to setup in our tablet & run parts.

I have had some problems with dxf too. If it's an outlined path you can hit shift f7 and fill it, then move the shape off as a solid black svg. It will be a useable vector then. You can't convert all dxf files directly into gcode. I think if illustrator is used it has multiple small lines in the drawing. I found that in a file I downloaded.
