Was wondering how the table working any bad and the good. Go with the plasma or buy a different plasma, would you use the table for business or just home. Can you over work the table.

Disclaimer: I use mine as part of a part time side business and Ryan pays me to contribute to the tablet software (I'm a software engineer at my main job).

As for the table, It's sturdy enough for heavy use. I load 4x8 3/8" plates on mine on top of the half ton of coolant in the water pan. I've never had a motor go out, but I had a motor driver issue. Ryan and Sam got it sorted out quickly. Everything is modular off the shelf parts, so if one axis driver goes bad, you just replace that axis driver instead of the whole controller.

Probably the biggest problem with the table itself is that there are torch jitter issues at high speed, so you need to strike a balance between clean lines and cut speed on thin sheet metal. For 10 gauge and thicker, the limiting factor on speed is the torch. There's a new z-axis design that's supposed to improve jitter, but I haven't used it yet. As for the cutter, GoFab is transitioning away from Everlast. The Everlast cutters are hit or miss and they have a bad reputation when it comes to customer service. I have an 80s I keep under 60 amps and it's been fine, but others have had issues with fuse holders melting. I know other folks have had success using Hyptertherrm cutters with GoFab tables.

As for the software, once you have a good gcode file, it's pretty easy to load it up and cut it out. There are some performance issues with large files, but I think there's going to be a software update soon that addresses that. The automatic offset and pierce point generator isn't perfect, so you have to check its results before cutting.

All in all, it's a fantastic value. I've read reviews of other plasma tables in this price range that just turn into never ending headaches that never work, and this is definitely not one of those. It's not perfect, but it works well, and Ryan and Sam stand by it. Really, the "share your work" forum says it all.

Now That is the Info I was looking for I feel way better now to buy a table knowing the people will stand by it all I ask for is the truth you don't have to tell me that its the best of the best. I just need to know the story one how people feel about it. I will be Ordering my 4x8 when I get this last job out the door. Now is there plasma that they offer with the table its a Everlast isn't it Just with there Logo on it. I have a miller 825 plasma but I do not want to hook it to the table. I use it a lot away from home. and hyperthermia is out of my price range right now. Lady said I can only spend about $8,000 and with shipping with 4x8 table and plasma and Crate and shipping I'm right at $7,900. How have you guys been building your water tables Because I am going to be needing to invest in to one. Should I build it or Buy one. I know it has to be right or many bad things can happen. should I add a pump for the water to flow or just a valve on the bottom that empty's it to the tank I would put under it. but I guess that's the next thing to try.

Hey Randy,

Thanks for your interest in a Go Fab CNC Plasma Table!

Our new Go Fab CNC PowerEdge 80 is not a rebranded Plasma Cutter. We teamed with a Design company so we could offer our own unique solution that addresses some of the shortcomings we frequently come across.

For one, our 80 amp PowerEdge 80 is built like a 100 amp Plasma Cutter - everything is oversized. You can tell right away when you set a PowerEdge next to another Plasma Cutter how mich bigger the fan alone is.

The Torch we use, however, is a very common Torch used by multiple companies and not our own design. We experimented with other Torches, but settled on the PTM Torches because they work great and they provide the most access and variety of Tips and Consumables for customers.

Now how does the 5 year warranty work out with it, kinda wish your table had longer warranty then a year. I'm 99.9% mind set on your table.
