Are you starting from a new Inkscape SVG or opening an existing image? What you want to do is start with a new Inkscape SVG, set that up for plasma cutting, then import images into that SVG by drag-and-dropping them onto the canvas. Just wrapped up an order for a bunch of stuff cut out of 3/8" plate.

Started with brand new consumables and they're still looking good. Cuts are looking great.

The green box doesn’t pop up until you click OK. The tablet software ignores all those settings, anyway, and just uses the gcode to get the shape to be cut out. The cut speed etc is set on the tablet when you tell it what type and thickness of metal you’re cutting.

Those are all the spam bots. We have it set up so the first post has to be approved now, but they used to post and it’s a bit of an arms race keeping them off the forum. I need to go through and clear them out.

Disclaimer: I use mine as part of a part time side business and Ryan pays me to contribute to the tablet software (I'm a software engineer at my main job).
