Re: Water table

No filter yet. I'm treating the pond pump as disposable, but it's still going and I leave it on 24/7

Re: Water table

I got mine from GoFab CNC as an upgrade, but it's just a 12 gauge sheet folded into a box. I'm sure Sam and Ryan will give you the details on measurements. Here's a video of what I came up with for filling/draining and circulation: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nzgKAsSUGCEq2AUmLJLtZgZW7rA3uSwc/view

Re: Inkscape GoFab Tutorial

Make sure you're using the latest tablet software. You can get the update here:

http://gofabcnc.com/updates/

If that doesn't fix it, send me the gcode file and I can figure out why it isn't working.

Re: Pair of lifting beams

They will try to pick up multiple sheets, but you can just slide a piece of wood between the sheets before you turn the magnet on. According to the chart on the side, they lose effectiveness quickly the thinner you go, so buy oversized accordingly. I've been sliding sheets onto the legs of my engine...

Re: No pierce points?

I think this can happen if the tool set up in Inkscape is wrong. I always just start from this .svg file so I don't have to set up the tool and orientation points every time: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3ZPq0k2k1fqR0lkQVJ5akhyd1k Try copying and pasting your bracket into that .svg file and ge...

Magnetic lifters, yup.

I got a pair of 1320 pound ones hoping to move a 4x8 3/8” plate. I’ll let you know how that works out.

I have tried this. It’s a cryptic file
Not sure what you mean. Edited my first reply to make it easier to copy/paste. Just click select all and copy/paste the code block into a .txt file and open the .txt file on the tablet. You should get a square with a sort of pac man shape in it.

Re: cutting files

If you're completely new to converting images to vectors in Inkscape and need a long, boring, meandering tutorial that goes over all the little things, you might find this helpful:

Sorry for my Ben Stein level of enthusiasm :D

Re: cutting files

Sure... here's my go-to test cut, just copy and paste into a txt file on the tablet: % (Header) (Generated by gcodetools from Inkscape.) (Using default header. To add your own header create file "header" in the output dir.) M3 (Header end.) G20 (All units in inches) (Start cutting path id: rect5224)...
