Re: Too many pierce points!!
Dave, How do I get pictures like this on here? I'd like to be able to share some visual aids that go along with the issue so others can understand better. In windows, you can copy and paste the app window into paint, save it as an image (png compresses best for typical applications), and add it as ...

Re: Too many pierce points!!
I don't know about fixing it in F360 but I get DXF files like that all the time. I fix it in Inkscape using the paint bucket tool: 1. Select all the lines you want cut out 2. Go to Object->Fill and Stroke 3. On the "Stroke Style" tab, set the width to your kerf width. 4. On the "Stroke Style" tab, s...

Re: Trying to cut 96” but stops at 55”
That's pretty strange. I do 4'x5' regularly but haven't done any 8' cuts yet. The gcode checks out fine in ncviewer. Have you tried reconfiguring the table and reminding it that it's a 4x8 and not a 4x4?

Re: DXF
I use DXF files on occasion. DXF files must be converted to gcode before you load them on the tablet to be cut out. You can do this with Inkscape for many DXF files, but not all. If I come across a DXF file that Inkscape has trouble with, I use QCAD to convert the DXF file to an SVG file, then I use...

Re: Bunch of 3/8
I’d be surprised if a nesting program did better than that. There’s a trick for doing common line cutting that lets you still use the tablet offset and pierce point generator, but you have to take kerf width into account when designing the cut path. Basically, if you make open cut paths inside a sha...
