Re: Just got my table running but might have a problem

If you use the cut styles panel to add Pierce points it will make lead ins, but it doesn't work with all gcode so you'll want to check it before you cut. Lead ins will look like semi circles the same color as the cut path.

Re: Just got my table running but might have a problem

I've had a knocking sound from this screw hitting the rack when the motor was too close to the rack.

Re: Just got my table running but might have a problem

The thumping sound as it moves when using the arrow buttons on the tablet is just from the controller blipping the pulses to the motors and is normal. It shouldn't do it while cutting. Warm motors is also normal, but they shouldn't get scalding hot. My z-axis motor in particular gets pretty hot. I'd...

When the customer asks you to fill in the margins on a big order...

I have a repeat customer who orders a bunch of 3/8" thick pipe end caps for oil fields and whatnot and on the last order he asked me to fill in the gaps between circles with 5" end caps and stars 3" and bigger. No idea what he's going to do with all these stars

Re: Question for the group?

I've gotten .dxf files from a few sources and they usually need some doctoring to produce good gcode. The tablet won't read dxf files so you need to convert them to gcode. The issue you'll run into with dxf files and generating gcode from Inkscape is that a single shape will get broken up into multi...

Should work on Android 6 and later, I think. I've got it running on a bunch of cheap tablets and a Pixel 3.

Man, you're killing it.

What sort of finish is that? I always hate covering up the steel with paint, but whatever that stain is you're using looks awesome.

Re: Rearend

Kickass! I'm toying with doing my first LS swap and serious suspension overhaul on a desert racer. What kind of steel would you recommend for shock tabs and motor mounts? I've got A36 and AR500 drops for days, but something tells me that won't fly. Rollcage is half done, but wanted to build out the ...

Re: SheetCam Tool Parameters

GoFab changes that based on the metal you pick. Any Z values or feedrate values in the gcode are scrubbed out before it goes to the table.

Re: G-code script error

Most warnings don’t matter. Inkscape does its own special metadata in inkscape style svg’s. You can avoid a lot of the errors/warnings by starting with an empty svg in Inkscape and importing images into that document instead of opening existing images or svg’s directly. If it exported properly you c...
